Essential Leadership Skills for new Managers

Becoming a successful manager for newly promoted managers or new hires is often a challenging phase that most executives go through in their first few months; ranging from acclimatizing to the new organizational culture for new managers to self adaptation from an individual contributor role to a managerial role for newly promoted managers.

Such a phase when not handled properly can result in unproductive situations for the company and in worse case scenarios, cause the company to lose a potentially valuable new manager or drastically de-motivate a former brilliant individual contributor who could potentially be a great manager.

Whilst the management can assist to create the necessary environment for these managers, it is essential that the managers possess certain specific skill sets in order for them to effectively transit to their new role or work culture.
