For the past 8 years, he has worked as a trainer specialising in problem solving and process improvement. This includes working as a polytechnic adjunct lecturer for the "Productivity and Quality" module; and as an associate tutor at UniSIM, tutoring in the "Learning to Learn" module. He is also actively involved in IQC/WITS programme (Innovation & Quality Circle / Work Improvement Team), and judged at Team Excellence Symposiums / National IQC Conventions and the International Exposition on Team Excellence (IETEX). He is a trained IQC Assessor and an ASQ-trained Team Excellence Judge. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has obtained the Business Process Management certificate. He holds bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying and Business Administration. Kok Kheong has attained ACTA certification and has obtained the WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE).
