Integrating into Corporate Singapore [25 Sept'14]

But in order to do it well, foreigners need to understand and integrate into the local corporate culture otherwise, misunderstandings can easily happen that can have a detrimental effect on your future career prospects here in Singapore.

Singlish, understanding local corporate culture, getting around Singapore, how to interact with Singaporean colleagues, ordering food at hawker centres etc. can be mind-boggling for new corporate knowledge worker.

In this 1-day highly interactive workshop, participants will benefit by learning the following:

ABOUT THE TRAINERS

Steven Yeong_latest

Steven Yeong holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the Arts & Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore. For the past 15 years, Steven Yeong has been recruiting for Fortune 500 clients, Silicon Valley start-ups and Government-Linked Companies here in Singapore. He has provided consulting in recruitment sourcing techniques and interview strategies for corporate recruiters and recruitment consultants from recruitment agencies. Steven has done full-cycle recruitment work for Oracle Corporation, Cisco Systems, Toyota and other multi-national companies especially in Singapore, ASEAN, China and India. Most recently, Steven was the Head of Talent Acquisition Asia Pacific at 3M Inc. He has recruited a full range of positions from entry-level graduates to senior vice-presidents of leading corporations. Currently, Steven is the Talent Evangelist at a leading HR consulting firm, training and coaching the potential of recruiters in corporations and 3rd party recruitment firms.

Adrian Phang holds an MBA from Western Michigan University and has over 10 years in the Talent Development space with consulting firms like Mercer, DDI and The Conference Board. Prior to this Adrian has spent a further 10 years in the Finance and IT sector with both local organisations and MNCs. He is currently a partner with a boutique business advisory that is focused  on People, Culture and Change. True-blue Singaporean and deeply passionate about the growth in Asia, Adrian has a wealth of practiced- based  industry knowledge in the ASEAN region, Adrian has helped many blue-chip organisations develop and integrate their talent to drive performance. Adrian has consulted organisations in projects relating to Selection, Workforce Planning, Talent Management, Succession Management, Performance Management and the development of L&D frameworks, Adrian actively consults with C-suite leaders to realise tangible  benefits for organisations.
