Essential Details Of A Book On Domestic Violence

By Cathy Mercer

The theme of a book on domestic violence, just as the name suggests, is centered on marriages which have aspects of wife, husband or children abuse. The main one has been that of men beating their wives and children but of late, men beating have emerged from nowhere. Kids end up being caught in either of these two. The only rare case is that of kids beating their parents.

Coming up with such a piece of writing is time consuming. In order for the book to touch the lives of many, it requires all the time it deserves. Authors can be varied. Someone who underwent through this experience either physically or emotionally is well suited to put all that into a manuscript. These are the spouses or the kids respectively.

The others can be witnesses. These ones are those who have seen this brutality going on between couples thus; they have first hand information concerning this act. They are neighbors where the couple stays or activists who advocate against this crime and to whom these victims run to for help when it becomes too unbearable. With this in mind, it is much easier for the author to bring out a true picture which the readers can form in their minds when reading the story.

A number of factors do facilitate an individual to compile such a story in a form of a manuscript. The first one is to condemn these acts as they happen in society today. This is achievable by taking such an angle in word expression of the activities and why they are inhuman to those who undergo through them. Condemnation in writing carries more weight than that which is said by word of mouth.

Reason number two can be based on sharing the experience he or she underwent through at certain period of time. This is evident for those who write basing on real life situations. With this, the reader is able to formulate the picture as to how things happened and truly be touched by the whole storyline.

When shared, it creates a platform for debate and contribution of solutions which the readers are able to come up with at the end of the reading process. Through this means, it is possible for the author to also offer some of these solutions on dealing with the battering. When these ones are implemented, such cases are bound to reduce significantly.

With this power in their hand, especially if the author is an activist, the need to petition relevant authorities and non governmental organizations in taking up the matter seriously and dealing severely with the perpetrators is brought out in such a publication. This is usually in those areas where this act still exists due to some old beliefs which have been passed with time.

Even within modern days, this evil is still common in most marriages. Regardless of whichever excuse there might be, it is not justifiable. With use of written means such as a book on domestic violence, the spread of the word against such happenings in marriage reaches a lot of people. It all turns back to the need of education in order to restore sanity in the marriages of today and that it exactly why such means are the best for use.
