Different Signs Of Domestic Abuse

By Andrea Davidson

Domestic abuse is a certain pattern of behavior which involves the abuse by one partner to another in an intimate relationship such as marriage, dating or within the family. This may happen to everyone, yet the problem is often overlooked, excused and denied. This is often true especially when it happens to be psychological and not physical.

Each person is eligible to live a free life without having fear especially the person they love. If you begin to notice little signs of such relationships, you must learn to stand up and manage about ways to control and end it. If this happens to some important people around you, you must do your best to extend your hand for them and allow them to lean on you when they need you.

The most visible sign of an abuse is when you begin to fear your partner. When you feel that you are unsecured and uncomfortable living with them, there is indeed a problem. It might be characterized by isolation, intrusion, jealousy, possession and too much controlling as well.

There are many reasons for a person to become a possible batterer. Top of these reasons would be jealousy. They often misinterpret love and jealousy. They end up controlling the entire behavior of a poor victim. They often limit them by not permitting them to spend time with others. They can even allow other people to look over the poor victim in times that he or she goes out.

A victim might also be accused of being disloyal and cheating. These batterers would tell their partners to forget about all his or her male and female friends and may sometimes show up in the place where the victim is working. This is often brought about by suspicion. Everyone deserves someone who will love, respect, listen and trust them instead of having these people who would tend to rule over you and your privacy.

If you noticed that they are starting to threaten you and the people you love, you must leave immediately before the whole situation gets worse. They may start with several screaming and would later escalate to some life threatening violence. They can also start to threat themselves as well. They will use care as their weapon.

If your partner wants you to be isolated from the outside world, there might be another problem. They often tell you that they do not want certain people in your life. They often control you on the places you are going and about what you are doing. No matter how long is the entire problem, you must always reach out for help and find a support that you can lean on.

Some may even stalk you to each place that you want to go. Having a stalker is not flattering, instead it would be terrifying. You would certainly live with fear for the rest of your life. Take note that stalking is definitely a crime. If possible, report such incidents quickly.

Domestic abuse could lead to other major physical injuries like cutting, burning and biting. No one must be deprived to live life freely. If you think that your partner is abusive, you will never have freedom. Learn to stand up and speak your heart out. In case that there are matters that you want to discuss with your partner, do it calmly.
