What Stories On Bullying Can Tell You

There are many stories on bullying that you can hear or read nowadays. Many kids are being bullied because of various reasons. This problem is very rampant nowadays and has really brought devastating effects for those victims. Some can be driven to social seclusion, depression, and emotional breakdown. Some can even be driven to commit suicide. This is then a very serious problem that should be given solution. It would be important for adults to know what these problems are about. These stories would tell you more than just tales of torment, seclusion and embarrassment. It can also tell you effects, signs, and interventions for these problems.

Bullies will be utilizing power in varied forms for controlling, intimidating, and coercing others. It will include embarrassing information, physical strength, and popularity. Bullying could be performed in varied means. It might be physical, verbal, and social. Verbal forms will include inappropriate sexual comments, name calling, and teasing. Another example of this will be verbal threats. Social examples will include isolation, intentionally ignoring, and gossiping. Physical forms will include pushing, hitting, and kicking. It will include throwing of things, taking them, or destroying them as well. Such acts could take place in neighborhoods, schools, and playgrounds. Such acts will be repeatedly done as well.

The world is already filled with varied technological innovations as well. This paved way to another kind of aggression. Cyberbullying could be quite common these days. It could be done through website posts, text, and emails. The varied social networking sites paved way to added venues for such acts. Comments, posts, and pictures in such sites could be aggressive. It will be very easy to spread coercive, aggressive, and embarrassing content through the internet.

Such aggressive acts could really produce varied deleterious effects. Such effects could be observed in bullies and victims. Victims will get insecure, anxious, and depressed. They will practice social withdrawal through avoiding school, avoiding socializing activities, and being isolated. It could produce long term effects as well. People who are extremely bullied might suffer PTSD.

Bullies could experience deleterious effects too. They might get difficulty with maintaining friendships. They could have school problems too. They could be more prone for criminal charges, substance abuse, and problematic relationships over time.

It will be essential to know various signs that a child is being bullied. Kids might have broken, lost, or damaged things. They might sport unexplained injuries. They might avoid any kind of social activity. Kids could also have behavioral, eating, and sleeping problems. They could have disinterest in friends, school, and hobbies too. They might display self destructive behaviors too.

It would be important to communicate properly. Adults would have to intervene with these cases. They should explore reasons behind the behaviors. It would also be important to communicate to prevent these things.

Proper support must be provided to such kids. The bullied child must be supported properly so they will not feel helpless, alone, or scared. Interventions must be also provided to bullies so these kids will understand and stop ill behaviors.

Prevention will be really essential. Such stories on bullying will provide inspiration so action could be made. In this way, such kids could be saved from all deleterious effects brought by such behaviors.
