Straightforward Ways To Make A Great Living As A Writer

By Raymond Rodriguez

Many people love to write. Getting some fantastic ideas in your head, getting them out on paper and sharing them with others is a wonderful feeling. However, many people are unaware of the many lucrative opportunities there are for writing. After all, if you can get paid for doing your hobby, then you've truly found the Holy Grail of life. Nobody likes to work. But if you can get paid to do what you love, then you'll be a happy person. In this article, you'll learn some things that will help.

Blogging is an easy way to do this. Setting up your own domain is probably the best way. First you'll need to choose a domain name. This should be something closely related to what you'll be blogging on. Then you'll need to buy the actual domain. This will be about ten bucks. Then you'll need to find a web host. This will cost you between five and ten bucks a month. Don't worry, this is nothing compared to what you can make as a blogger.

After your blog is set up, all you've got to do is write and post as often as possible. After a while, you'll start to attract people who are interested in what you're writing. After all, there are billions of people in the world. All you need to do is attract a few thousand loyal readers, and that's plenty. Once your traffic is sufficient, you can put some ads on your blog. There are over two million people in the United States that are making a full time income doing this.

Another way would be to ghost blog. Plenty of people have websites for products they are promoting. In order to attract customers, they need to have a blog. But they aren't really good at writing, so they'll hire somebody like you to make a couple posts a week. Get a few clients like this, and you'll be making some pretty good money.

Of course, there are hundreds of freelance sites with people looking for writers for all kinds of reasons. Some are only paying a few cents per word, while others are paying a few hundred dollars, or even a few thousand, for some well written sales pages. If you are any good at sales and persuasive writing, you can make a fortune.

If writing non-fiction isn't your cup of tea, then you can write fiction. This is easier than ever with Kindle publishing. Write as many stories as you want, and put them on Kindle for sale. You'll have to do your own marketing and promoting, but this can be extremely lucrative if you find a big enough fan base. You won't make a lot of money right away, but by following your passion, you can eventually do pretty well.
