Success has always and will always be the main goal of any business. It does not come on a silver platter. It takes strategy and innovation. One major strategy which is basic and vital is advertisement. Various tools are used as a means of spreading the information on goods and services offered by a company or an institution. One of them has been the use of brochures. But with the ever changing global demands, it has been vital for the advertising companies and agencies to venture into environmental friendly modes of advertisements. This is due to the great environmental concern. Thus the coming up of brochure printing that is eco friendly.

This type of venture is meant to be able to improve and conserve the environment while at the same time able to meet the quality standard of service delivery. But what does it really entail? How does it promote the conservation of the environment?

In general terms of description it entails the introduction of ways of production which are not or less harmful to the environment. Not just in one part but from the process of acquisition of raw materials, down to the processing and implicated to the final product.

To date there has been a wide range of innovations have been created to meet this objective. Some of them being the use of waterless printing and use of recycled papers. Adopting of this innovations has had a great positive impact not only on the natural environment but also the individual companies that have put it into practice.

Quite a large number of the companies do use machines which use toxic chemicals and an intake of 25000 gallons on monthly basis. On practical basis this is quite a huge chunk of water consumption. Using of waterless printing aids in eradication of dampening solutions finally result to the zero emission of hazardous VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Paper recycling is has also been an important factor in the production of eco-friendly brochures. Paper manufacturing has great impacts environmental impacts both upstream, where materials are acquired and processed, and downstream, where waste disposal processes occur. This begs the question, how has recycling been able to reduce these impacts?

Recycling of paper also plays a major role in saving trees. Research has shown that recycling one ton of paper saves slightly more than double the tons of wood. With the statistics applied on a global level, recycling half the world paper demand on yearly basis would prevent logging of almost 20 million acres of land covered by forests.

Recycling also reduces the use of landfill. Usually paper decomposes in landfills which releases methane into the atmosphere. Methane, alongside carbon IV oxide, are green house gases. Recycling of a ton of papers eliminates 3 cubic meters of landfill waste.

Companies which engage in ecofriendly brochures are also not left behind in the share of advantages of this practice. For quite some time and current status too there has been a high global demand for environmental friendly products. Having in mind the great demand of advertisement, it increases the client base for the individual companies and at the same time enhance the quality of the brochures also improvement in time delivery of them too.
