Technical Writing Skills for Engineers

Engineers, no matter how talented or experienced, often find it a challenge having to translate messages and information in their technical world into an easy to understand report for non-specialists. This is not to say that engineers do not know the fundamentals of writing a report but rather, the skill set involved in trying to make a non -specialist understand the messages in a technical report is probably equivalent to trying to get a single language person to learn a second language overnight.

Yet the technical report is fundamentally essential in any decision making process or how management passes a judgement; often involving millions of dollars potentially.

in this 2 days highly practical workshop, much emphasis are placed on how engineers can make their reports easily understood by their readers, as well as examining the proper format and the flow of a good technical report.

Feedback from Sandra’s past participants:

“Brilliant, engaging, practical trainer with wealth of global experience.” – IBM

“Sandra has conducted several workshops for us for our heads of department and engineers. Feedback is always rated excellent.”

“Sandra’s sessions are always highly interactive and engaging with lots of hands on experience and positive outcomes.”
