Using Photography Book Printing To Publish Digital Images

By Janis Hickman

Photography book printing makes it possible to turn digital photos into albums. The simplest way to create a photo book is by ensuring all photos are downloaded onto a computer or a tablet. The user should then download the software program from the publisher's website. Now an album can be created.

Firstly, choose the number of pages the album should have. A virgin album will then appear on the screen. Choose a theme or scheme from the available choices. Popular options include children's TV characters or effects, such as a beach view or city skyline.

He or she chooses the photographs stored in the computer and drags them across onto a page. Then the creative part comes into play. The user user can now turn the image at an angle, reverse it or crop it. A popular effect is to change the tint of the image to black and white or sepia, or even black and white with one object in color. Furthermore, the shape of the photograph can be altered; for instance to an oval, a circle or a rhombus. This makes the book far more original and effective.

Having chosen all the images, it is now time to add some writing. It can take the form of a description of each photo, or a general description of each phase ('Maria receives her presents' and 'Maria on the dance floor'). Now choose a color which will look good behind the photos on the page. It may be better to add text once all the images have been added to the photo album. This allows the writer to create a cohesive story throughout the album.

On adding all the desired photographs and the accompanying text, the next step is to add the finishings. The user should add a title to the front page, such as 'Forty years of fun!' in the same font used throughout. It is also effective to add another photo. This can either be a favorite already used in the album, or an unused image.

The same concept applies to the back page, with writing such as 'from all you friends' and another image. The software may also allow an image and text to be added to the spine. This looks great when the album is stored in a bookcase.

After all the artwork, images, text and finishings have been added, it is time to send the whole thing off to the publishers. Again, this is managed in the software and is usually a simple step such as clicking a button. It is important to add an accurate delivery address, name and e-mail address.

Once the payment details have been entered the software will confirm the order has been made. The order will then be sent for publishing. It doesn't usually take long to arrive and the customer has a professional-looking album full of memories to keep forever. Photography book printing has become a simple way to be creative and turn all those digital images into tangible recollections.
