Public speaking involves more than just sharing words. Here are the 9 best characteristics of public speakers.

Quality Content. Even a person lacking charismatic gifts can develop solid content. Always share something the audience finds valuable to their lives.

Humorous. It's hard to hate someone you laugh with. The best speakers know how to make their audience smile early in the program. It opens hearts and makes the group receptive. You just have to be humorous enough to put your audience at ease.

Organized. You should never ramble during your presentation. Your notes should keep you on pace and focused. You should make your audience feel that they gained information that's easy to remember.

Open-minded. Some speakers try to get in and get out as fast as possible, but the audience likes to know the speaker is available an approachable. It's really good if a speaker meets the people as they come in.

Accuracy. It's said that honest arrogance is preferred over false humility. We all want to know people are being honest with us and that what we see is what we get. Be true to yourself and others by being the same around everyone. That way, you won't feel like you have two personalities.

Growing. Great speakers always try to become better. They don't stop when they reach a certain level. They just continue to become better.

Willingness to give. The best in this profession give without expecting return. They give anonymously to charities and organizations. This makes the public like them even better.

Normal. An audience would be more responsive to a speaker who acts naturally.

Passionate. You put energy with words when you speak. The more passionate you are, the greater the chance that the audience will get and remember your message. No one ever hopes that the speaker will bore them to death. People would want speakers who are really enthusiastic about their topic.
