Creating a novel is all about patience because the initial stages of writing it would be quite difficult even if one already conceptualized the idea. Of course crafting the idea is one thing but putting it in paper and creating a flow is another thing. Now if one would want to create a novel of his own, then here are some tricks on how to write a book that are helpful.
Now the first step after conceptualizing the idea would be to of course think of the flow of events. To start off, one first needs to determine the setting of his story which means that he has to know the time and place of his story. Aside from the setting, one also has to create a list of characters that he will be using throughout the tale which would include the hero, the villain, and the supporting characters.
Once one has already done this, then he has to create an outline for his story so that he may be able to have coherence and flow as he writes. First of all, he has to take note of the traditional flow of stories which would consist of the introduction, the climbing, the climax, the twist, and then the conclusion. With this flow in mind, one can make the outline following this traditional flow and then filling in the details later on as he goes.
So first off would be the introduction which usually can be found in the first chapter. Now in the first chapter, the author will be introducing the protagonist and will be talking about the setting. The introduction part is all about letting the reader visualize the place and time of the story so that he will be enticed to continue reading the story.
After the hero has already been introduced fully, then the next thing that the author would most likely do would be to introduce the villain of the story. Now when this happens, the author is already reaching the build up stage because a conflict between the two is already forming. This conflict is going to be the main thing that the hero is going to fight for.
Now as the story goes along many events will happen but the most exciting and interesting one is of course the climax. This is the part that would lead to the resolution of the story or in other words the big battle between hero and enemy. This will be the deciding factor as to what the conclusion would be.
Now in this stage, there would usually be a twist. For those who do not know what the twist is, the twist is an unexpected turn of events that happened to the hero. There are times that the twist would come before the climax but traditionally, it would come after.
Of course the last part would be the resolution part which is where the conflict is resolved. In this part, the hero has already finished the things that he was supposed to do. From there the author may or may not give him a happy ending.
