Employing an Autoresponder Along with a Lead Generation Website

A lead generation website is one that inspires a visitor to make an inquiry or opt in to get more info about products and services.

When setting up a new website for the purposes of lead generation, or evolving a site that does not have an opt-in box, consideration should be made when choosing an email program.

In most situations you can make a decision to need a double opt-in process to help protect you and your prospects from getting punished due to spam disputes or not. I have found requiring prospects to confirm their request for some more information dramatically decreases the number of leads you'll at last get.

You'll also need to write your emails to provide quality content - not just a sales spiel. Think it over. How long do you stay subscribed to amail list that offers nothing more than a crass sales message every two days?

Consider also the information you ask for when you design your opt-in box. Folks don't appreciate giving out too much information at first, but always get the subscriber's first and last names and you can also have a box for any other information relevant to your business.

If you set up autoresponders or any kind of email campaign, it is vital that your mails are checked and checked again. Many people aren't impressed by spelling mistakes, and even more won't read amail that's a mile long. Make your mails accurate and to the point, and written in short paragraphs, in simply digestible hunks.

Once your list has grown to a respectable size, you can send out a once per month newsletter, informing subscribers about new products and services you have added.

Address your subscriber by his first name, not "dear subscriber" as is typically seen, and write your copy as if you are writing to a buddy, don't blind customers with "get this" or "buy this", it turns folk off. The best way effect a sale is by helping people, by giving them topical information and anything free is usually good, for example a free ebook.

Ensure that everything you send your customer is relevant and of worth. If your "unsubscriber" list builds too swiftly, that's a sure sign you do something wrong, though you will always get some individuals that unsubscribe.

So understand that your auto responder and the mails you send out are at the heart of your lead generation website. You wouldn't have a lead generation website without it. So spend some time tweaking and refining this side of your system. Do not simply toss away a handful of email pitches. Relate. Form a relationship. Ask for feedback and collaboration.
