Here are a few of the way I got through school. I struggled the whole time and my desire is to assist you avoid my mistakes.
Attempt not to get into a romantic relationship. I recognize that this may sound crazy, but some studies have shown that people tend to lose their concentration when they have relationship with the opposite sex. This can be difficult, but if you absolutely have to be in an intimate relationship with someone, you should make a deal with that man or woman that you will help each other finish college faster.
Don't be afraid to take therapy sessions. Let's say that you've broken up with your girlfriend/boyfriend, or you simply have an insomnia. Don't be afraid to visit the mental health care center. There is absolutely nothing to be upset of.
Never rush through the pages of a textbook, hoping that you will somehow miraculously memorize them. Some people tend to aim for a certain number of pages every day. It is more important you understand the information.
In addition to having a good study schedule, make sure you also turn in early, and get up early in the morning. I don't understand why, but my morning study routine has always been more effective than the late night one.
Review your studying notes regularly. You should not study in panic mode, ever. That's the reason it is essential to establish this habit right from the beginning. Strive to take an hour or two every day to examine the notes that you've written in your notebook and to check out the upcoming chapter. Trust me, this will certainly save you a lot of stress.
Constantly take notes. Do not write everything down; write only things that are vital and that can create a big picture in your mind when you do your studying from the notebook. This can take a couple of weeks to understand, but once you learn the skill of writing important stuff down, your class work will become a piece of cake for you. It took me 3 years to understand that; do not make the very same mistake.
Try to be involved in each lesson.
The first reason I'm telling you this is that the teacher will not forget you. This is especially important in college systems where you have to go through written, along with oral exams.
The 2nd factor is that you must always keep from being confused, even if it makes you feel moronic to ask simple questions in front of other individual. You should not be anxious to ask any question to settle your confusion.
