Ever Fresh Social Justice Topic That Will Remain Relevant In 2019

By Laura Sullivan

The society has issues that dominate each era. Then there are classical issues that never appear to die because they mutate. If you are to choose a captivating social justice topic for your article or discussion, there are several areas that should top the choice you make. Here is a look at the topics and justification for their dominance of discussion.

Abortion provides numerous dimensions for debate. As a writer or during dialogue, you can focus on its legality or otherwise. The right of the man in the decision to abort is also a hot topic. Whether abortion is a moral or health issue also continues to divide the world with the debate not appearing to end anytime soon.

Women and their role in combat remains a thorny issue. Crusaders are of the opinion that the terrain is skewed against the woman. There is no way to explain why women are not taking front seats as army generals across the world. There is a feeling that there is a deliberate scheme to lock them out. For women, they claim that they have the potential, contrary to what male chauvinists think.

Religious freedoms offer numerous angles of discussion. The basic argument involves the place of religion in the society. People want to know how far religion should infiltrate the society. Should religion be accorded the special treatment that it is associated with? What religious practices should rub on the lives and routines of people? With rise in terrorism that is linked to religion and immoral behavior among church leaders, it is impossible to ignore religion in debate.

Gender roles and diversity in work places continues to elicit debate. The number of women occupying top corporate positions and leading entrepreneurship is remains wanting. Pay disparity and the role of education in the process are hot topics being debated everywhere. Crusaders are interested in overturning the state with the aim of creating a new order.

While the world says you can become anything you want, it has denied people the opportunity to be dead. The contention is that life is sacred and cannot be left to the whims of an individual. What happens when you are terminally ill and no chance of healing? This remains one of the most contested positions. Is it time to allow euthanasia?

There is a growing number of people who are poor, hungry and homeless yet they are working for profit making organizations. This begs the question whether slavery is official in disguise. If people are working, it is almost automatic that they should afford food and shelter. Why would companies be posting profits yet their employees cannot even afford the products they manufacture?

Discussions on social justice can take different routes. It is important to focus on localized issues because globalizing them sometimes leads to loss of power. To discuss any topic effectively, you need all facts and strong points to support your position. Expect a contrary opinion but you should focus on making a point.
