Factors To Look When Hiring Female Voice Over Talents

By Claudine Hodges

Different industries in the fields of entertainment, media and businesses are in need of voice actors. Not only do these talents provide life to the rather static message that advertisers or marketers have in their ads. Voices give out authority and credibility to the message itself.

Now that a lot of transactions happen online, it is not difficult to see why the internet is the first stop when you are looking for voice actors. Advertisements such as available female voice over talents are growing. The growth is reflective of the demand for the service, and for those who are looking for some real good shots, going online is the highly recommended method.

Many female talents online are really good. But not everyone fits your project well. In order to make sure that you are dealing with the right person, you will have to check some basic factors. We have listed them down below as a guide. Take a peek and start your search.

Nature of your project. You know best about the concept that your project has. Therefore, you have all the information you need about it. Evaluate what type of voice is fitted for your message and find it. It may take time before you find the fit. There are many potentials out there. List them down if you have to and save them for final selection.

Quality. Of course, this is a requirement. After knowing the type of message you want to convey, now is the time to select the most appropriate voice. You can listen to online samples for free. Or, you can contact the talent directly and ask her to give you another sample or a live demo. This will also ensure the legitimacy of the sample she posted online.

Price. Whatever project you have, you must have a specific budget allocated for this segment. Make it a point to know the best offer that is available in the market. Once you have an initial list of talents that you see fit, start comparing their prices as well. Make sure that you have personally informed them of the task and its duration and have listed down the corresponding price for the service.

Fourth, take note of the experiences. A good talent should be able to show you samples of her past work. She can also refer you to some of her past clients. This is very important to gauge the performance of the actress. If many clients have been satisfied with her work, then she must be really good.

Versatility. It is enough to settle for someone who provides you with what you need. But having someone that can offer something more is a value added factor. See for yourself how versatile the talent is.This can come in handy for possible variations later on.

Do not underestimate what voice can do to your project. Many works attribute their success to excellent voicing. If you believe that you have a strong message to deliver, strengthen it even more by choosing the right female talent on board.

What Conservative Judaism Gay Perspectives Have To Say

By Claudine Hodges

Homosexuality is one issue that is faced by lots of persons nowadays. Discrimination is suffered by lots of gays and lesbians from the societies they live in, and even their families. Their sexual orientations are not typically disclosed to others as they have fears of what could be said or done to them by others.

Their own stances regarding homosexuality have already been provided by lots of religions. Several things have been said by conservative Judaism gay perspectives about this issue. These following statements are several only of their own beliefs.

Some people are possessing traditional insights on the topics which individuals are facing today, like homosexuality. With this, they are considering this topic as an abomination. Generally, they dislike gay people. They also are praying that their sons will not be one of them. If ever their sons turn out to be homosexuals, they, especially the fathers, are usually disowning them.

However, others will also say that these individuals should be understood more as they have struggled to look for their real identities. They will say that respect is deserved by these persons, too. Respect is needed by individuals so that peaceful communities can be lived in. Acceptance is a value, as well, that should be practiced by all members.

The Torah is the Jewish counterpart of the Bible of Christians. The Torah is containing all things which people should be doing in their own lifetimes. The Torah is prohibiting the acts which are associated with homosexuality. It is not devaluing those homosexuals, however. It is maintaining the fact that all gays are humans, as well, who have feelings and also emotions. It is certainly not their fault if they find people belonging to the similar gender attractive.

There are people who harass gays and embarrass them in public. They make rude comments and jokes that hurt the feelings of homosexuals. Several queers typically attempt suicide so that they can avoid these hurtful situations. With these in mind, the Torah prohibits harassment on these people as harassment opposes the values that Judaism teaches to its followers.

Some individuals believed that homosexuality is one type of disease that could be cured by doctors such as psychiatrists and psychologists. Therapies are usually conducted to gays by lots of practitioners hoping that these persons could be turned into someone they must be. However, the right of these homosexuals for therapies considered as dangerous and useless to be rejected is affirmed by Judaism.

Those who belong to the opposite sex are being wed by some queers thinking that their orientations will change. However, those with a homosexual orientation are not encouraged by Jewish views to wed individuals of the opposite sex. If such is done, several negative situations can be expected, such as tragedy, unrequited love, shame, dishonesty, and ruined lives.

The views of Jewish rabbis are concluding that all the Jews are made equal, what their orientation, wealth, or genders are. They are also advising queers of becoming true to themselves. They are also reminding them, however, of following the Torah and abstaining from homosexual activities as much as possible.

1 day Hear to Listen, Listen to be Heard
- Transform your ability to listen using your ears, eyes and emotions, to better understand the stories that others share

Introduction

Don't you just love it when people listen to you?

I mean "listen", really listen, hanging on your every breath, stretching each and every one of their fibrous sinews to understand, truly understand not only the words that you say, but also the meaning you want to convey.

It feels great, doesn't it?

However, how often do you get that feeling?

For most of us, the moon needs to be a certain shade of "blue" for that to happen, right? Unsurprisingly, one of the reasons that people don't listen well to you, is that you probably don't, well, listen to them!

Resolving this dilemma, requires you to improve your ability to listen. In doing so, you know this will lead to you being listened to more. Ultimately, this will afford you greater influence, something I know we'd all like a little more of.

This Workshop therefore takes an emotionally intelligent approach to listening. Our focus taps into psychology, and revolves around perceptions, both yours and theirs.

At the heart of being "heard", there is always a respectful listener, one who continually demonstrates the power of being "present". We'll thus delve deeper, extending into the need to model for others, what good listening means.

Workshop Objectives

Our intentions are to transform your ability to listen fully to other speakers, draw meaning from their message, whilst strengthening your ability to speak, and be listened to.

You'll use the skills to start becoming fully "present" in the company of others. You'll find that as you sit up and take notice of them, they likewise start to take notice of you.

Emotional intelligence or EQ sits well at the heart of this soft skills Workshop, as you raise your awareness of things that you need to do, to make listening better, for others.

Workshop Outlines

  • Reframing listening as a sensory experience
  • Factoring in the senses, and the role of awareness
  • Listening attentively, with use of non-verbal behaviours
  • Listening not just for the logic, but for the emotion & meaning
  • Making small changes to how you speak to support their listening
  • Purposefully embracing EQ to reflect the needs of your audience
  • Enhancing engagement by incorporating story telling elements
  • Naturally integrating the dual actions of listening & speaking

Facilitation Approach for Learning

This is an experiential Workshop, which emphasises engagement, interaction, and practice. Participants should expect short presentations that introduce content, experiential activities for skills practise, and group discussions for reflection that deepens their learning.

Who Should Attend This Workshop?

This one-day Workshop is designed for people at all levels who notice that others don't listen to them, feel a need to be more "present" in their conversations, or harbour a desire to be heard more by others.

Your Workshop Facilitator: Mr. Patrick O'Brien, CMgr

With a constant appetite for change, Patrick came to realise one very important thing: it's the People that matter in business, personal development and growth counts. His learning delivery approach therefore focuses on building those important soft skills. Training thus scaffolds atop three firm foundations.

First, for learning to stick, it needs to be fun; enjoyment & engagement are precursors to absorption & adoption. Next, for learning to be relevant, it has to be real; it needs collaboration, openness, and a little intensity. Finally, for learning to be desirable, it must match expectations; it has to substantially deliver what it says "on the tin".

Patrick therefore designs Workshop experiences that masterfully combine Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) with a deep Coaching mentality. Both are invitingly interlaced using Improvisational techniques. His diverse background and experience also allow him to facilitate inclusive and valuable learning moments. These are highly engaging, empowering, and, enjoyable.

His life's journey has straddled different countries and cultures in Ireland, England, New Zealand and Singapore. He has worked his way through a variety roles, from individual contributor to Managing Director, in the corporate world. And, he has built considerable business experience along the way in working across sectors such as government, technology, manufacturing, finance, consulting, aviation, telecommunications and the Internet.

His formal education is well rounded: Honours in IT, Masters in Marketing and MBA in Finance. He is also a "Master Practitioner" of NLP, and an enthusiastic author with Articles regularly appearing in the local media. In whatever form you experience his work, you'll always feel his curiously cheerful sense of enjoyment; it shines through.

Patrick is an active member of many international Professional bodies, such as the Chartered Management Institute, the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Directors. He is proud to be one of only a small handful of "Chartered Managers" in Asia.

With a warm Irish wit, a love of the "craic" and a big beaming smile, audiences in over twenty-five countries have found his disarmingly unpretentious and conversational approach to learning, to be refreshing and rewarding experiences.

Things To Consider When Looking For Male Voice Over Talents

By Claudine Hodges

The best ads we see now in television are not just successful because of the concept. True, animation and concept play a great role in terms of making them appealing to the viewers. But that is not all. The way on how the message is delivered through voice overs matters a lot.

This is the reason why companies hire specific personalities to handle some of their promotional materials. Top quality male voice over talents have what it takes to deliver the desired message the producer wants for the ad. If you search online, more and more sites are offering samples of them for companies to choose from.

You need to take note though that this industry is in demand. And there are more and more amateurs and professionals alike who are advertising their own works online. It is important that you screen them well before giving them the go signal to be on your project. Below are the top considerations you can take into account during the selection process.

First, consider how you want your message to sound. Talented talents will know what to do when you give them the instructions. But if you yourself do not have a clear viewpoint about your message, then this could be difficult. Prior to hiring, be sure to know about this area.

Credentials of the talent. Of course, you will need to check the background of your choice. If he can provide you with a sample of his past project, then better. This will give you an overview of his exposure to the job and how effective his voice is.

Three, consider the price. Of course, you want to have the best deal that is available in the market. However, you cannot get this unless you view all of your options. Keep in mind that other companies might be looking for the same service that you are hunting down right now. They will soon be knocking on the doorsteps of the best talent. Make an effort to do your own searching.

Versatility of the talent. A good talent is not only capable of voicing a single tone. He should be able to deliver messages with different tones reflective of its emotions. You can gauge the versatility of the person by asking samples of how he delivers a spiel in three or more different ways. May it be the funny way or the serious way, he should be able to do it.

Enthusiasm of the talent. You will know when a voice actor has real interest on the job by the amount of enthusiasm he shows during the initial selection and even on your interview. Depending on the type of project you want to have, you may have to make him work for hours. He should have the energy and stamina to withstand long hours of work.

List down the other characteristics that you are looking for a talent. Be as specific as possible. If you are looking for a long term work partnership, then all the more reason to invest time on choosing the right one. The effectiveness of your video is only as good as how the message is delivered.

Art Education & The Value Of Writing

By Katie Arden

Everyone has their own ways of conveying emotions, which goes without saying. You have to understand that various platforms can be used, some of them more favorable than others. For those who specialize in art, regardless of the particular medium, one can argue that writing is one of the finest. If you are someone who is curious as to how writing can serve this type of purpose, outside of education, here are a few points worth recognizing.

It's easy to see that writers can get involved in a number of professions, depending on where their interests lie. For example, if you are someone who is into marketing, you may be able to construct press releases and the like. If you are heavy into game design, your skills can come into effect for the sake of creating strong narratives. As you can see, writing has an influence in art school but what about the ways in which writing can be brought into effect outside of it?

Creative writing is, in my view, one of the most engaging forms of art that anyone can get involved in. It was something I was especially into during my time in college, since I was not able to tackle this as much as I could have in most of my classes. Instead, I allowed myself a certain degree of time to write for myself, which was more than helpful. The ability to create anything, ranging from blogs to short stories, was made possible because of this style of writing.

I am sure that many other writers will be able to agree with such a sentiment. Keep in mind that many new college students do not have large groups of friends; many students may not be able to make friends even after time has passed. However, writing does something that not every activity can. It is able to bring people together, regardless of their social skills, and it allows them to meet like-minded people they probably wouldn't have encountered otherwise.

Writing can be integrated into just about any industry that requires those particular skills. What this means is that it is possible for potential workers to integrate themselves in various companies before they provide the best services imaginable. However, it would be a lie to say that this is all that writing does. For many, writing serves as a gateway of communication, meaning that those who aren't the most social can find value in it all the same.
