Associate Professor Catherine Tay Swee Kian 
Assoc Prof. Catherine Tay lectures law at National University of Singapore, NUS Business School in the Department of Strategy and Policy; and medical law and business law at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS; as well as dental law and ethics at the Faculty of Dentistry, NUS. A/Prof Tay is an Associate Professorial Fellow, NUS. She is a Barrister-at-Law, of Lincoln's Inn, United Kingdom and an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore. She was called to the English Bar in 1978 and the Singapore Bar in 1980. She is an Associate Director, Bernard & Rada Law Corp. She is an author of several law books including 'Contract Law'; 'Directors' Duties and Liabilities'; 'Business Law' ; E-Commerce Law; Intellectual Property Laws and 'Medical Negligence'. She has published several legal articles in prestigious international and local law journals. A/Prof Tay studied law at Queen Mary College, University of London and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and a Master of Laws degree, in which she specialized in Company, Shipping, Insurance and Marine Insurance laws. She did her pupillage under the Honorable Lady Mary Hogg in London and returned to Singapore in the law firm of Rodyk & Davidson. A/Prof Tay is also a member of the Centralized Institutional Review Board – Ethics sub committee of SingHealth hospitals and polyclinics; and is also a member of the National Healthcare Group Domain Specific Review Board / Research Ethics committee tasked to review the scientific and ethical aspects of research protocols. A/Prof Tay is an examiner on law and medical law subjects for a number of professional bodies and universities in Singapore and overseas. She was an external examiner in medical law at the Law Faculty of the University of Hong Kong. She conducts in-house training seminars and workshops for hospitals, banks, statutory boards, hotels, commercial firms and companies, clubs and associations. She is also a legal consultant appearing on many television segments. A/Prof Tay was a committee member of the editorial board of the Singapore Accountant Journal, Journal of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and the (United Kingdom) The Company Lawyer. She was on the Board of Overseas Editors for the (United Kingdom) Journal of Financial Crime, an official publication of the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime. She has presented conference papers at many conferences and seminars on Business Law, Medical Law, and Company and insolvency Laws overseas and in Singapore. A/Prof Tay has published numerous articles in international peer reviewed journals such as BIOETHICS, the Hong Kong Journal of Emergency Medicine; the (United Kingdom) Journal of Business Law, (United Kingdom) Business Law Review; the (United Kingdom) Company Lawyer and the (United Kingdom) Insolvency Law & Practice, (United Kingdom) Tolley's professional negligence, (United Kingdom) Tottel's Professional Negligence, the Singapore Dental Journal; the Malayan Law Journal; the Securities Industry Review and The Singapore Law Gazette. She received the 2008 Sinagapore Medical Journal Recognition Award for reviewing with Distinction for consistently submitting timely, detailed and scholarly reviews. A/Prof Tay cohosted a weekly talk show "In the Eyes of the Law" on NTUC RadioHeart and was a consultant to MediaCorp television series on consumer laws "What's Your Case" on TV Channel 5. 
Subramaniam S/O Thirumeni 
ADVOCATE & SOLICITOR Mr Subramaniam was called to the Singapore Bar in 1998. He was a private practitioner and a partner of a law firm from October 1998 to April 2005 (Messrs Sobhraj Tay Low Subra & Teo formerly known as Sobhraj & Co and also as Sobhraj & Subra. This firm is now known as Crossbows LLP). He has extensive exposure to litigation including but not limited to the following: - General Civil Litigation involving Landlord and Tenant disputes, Admiralty claims, Medical Negligence, Defamation, Construction and Renovation disputes, Strata Title disputes, Patent, Trade Mark and Copyright disputes, Shareholders' Disputes, Employment disputes, Defective Product disputes and general contractual claims;
- Family Court matters involving Divorce & related matters and Adoption proceedings;
- Administrative Law matters involving statutory tribunals and the review of tribunal decisions;
- Criminal proceedings involving offences carrying sentences of a non-capital nature
Mr Subramaniam is also experienced in general Solicitors' work including but not limited to the following: - Drafting Franchise Agreements, Tenancy Agreements, Business Transfer and Asset Sale Agreements, Software Licensing Agreements, Partnership Agreements, Shareholders' Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Employment Contracts and other contracts of a general nature;
- Conveyancing of private residential as well as commercial property including completed properties as well as properties under construction
Mr Subranamian is also a full-time Lecturer (and registered tutor with the Council of Private Education, Singapore) at ITC School of Laws, from Jan 2004 to the present, teaching on the Bachelor of Laws course for the University of London's International Programme in Singapore and in Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is currently holding the post of the Director of Studies for ITC School of Laws. He was also a part time lecturer at IBMEC, Singapore from 1999 to 2003 teaching Business Law to Marketing and Management students with a focus on specific legal issues affecting the marketing of products and the management of companies. He has been lecturing on a per contract basis at the Marketing Institute of Singapore under their Diploma in Sales and Marketing Programme from 2007 to 2009. Mr Subrananiam was invited as a Speaker at the Asia Business Forum at various times to present on various law related topics of interest to corporations and entrepreneurs. The topics covered include the law relating to Trade Unions, Directors' Duties and Company Secretarial Practice. In particular, he was invited to officiate as Chairman of a forum on corporate governance and regulatory issues affecting companies. He also contributed to the Editorial Panel of the Management Development Institute of Singapore on an ad-hoc basis. Mr Subrananiam was a regular professional trainer at NUSExtension (The Business wing of the National University of Singapore). Training areas include Company Law, E-commerce Law, Contract Drafting, Contract Management and Service Level Agreements. He also worked on course development in relation to the 'Legal and Governance' module of the inaugural Professional Diploma in Creative Entrepreneurship jointly developed by Creative Community Singapore (CCS) and the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) in partnership with the UK Creative Industries Development Agency (CIDA) and NUS Extension. He has been conducting professional training through private seminar providers on a variety of legal topics including 'Contract Management', "Contract Drafting", "Tenancy Agreements" and "Service Level Agreements". He is also conducting professional training on Governing Instruments for Charities via the Social Services Training Institute soon after the introduction of the Code of Governance for Charities in Singapore. Mr Subrananiam authored a Chapter on Islamic Wills in Catherine Tay's "How to Write a Will" (2003) Big Publications.
